These two lovebirds flew to San Diego from London for their wedding. Although the bride's family lives in San Diego, we still somewhat considered it a destination wedding for the couple and the groom's family.
These two took our advice for a pre-wedding shoot, so we spent a short time a day before the wedding to get some of the formals out of the way. This allowed to us to all be more relaxed.
We started at Coronado, with the greatest city's skyline as the backdrop. Destination two was Balboa Park, and although we've shot at Balboa Park many times, we wanted to make it even more epic and creative than before. We tried some new techniques, and got some amazing results even though it was in the middle of the day.
The actual wedding was at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad, and they had Events by Marjan do their florals and sofreh, the traditional table set up during Persian weddings. We're team Rugger, so we had to get some aerial drone shots, which you can view in their highlight video below.
The crowd was amazing, and Deejay Al had everyone dancing until midnight. Amir Catering supplied dinner and desert, and we live for the Persian buffets.
This was our second wedding at this venue, and it's always great to shoot here, as everything is close to each other and the staff is always friendly and hospitable.
For wedding photography and cinematography consideration in San Diego or nationwide, send me an email directly and I promise to answer the same day.
Here's a device we call the "butterfly" which we use for filming and it makes for some epic ceremony footage!
