2016 is here- What to expect: Drones, Cinemagraphs, My Wedding, 360 Degree Videos and more!

Dear Rugger readers:

I'm sorry it has been over a year since the last update. I promise to update the blog at least once a month, especially since I didn't win the 1.5 billion powerball.

First off, I got married back in October to the woman of my dreams, and planning a wedding turned out to be the most stressful and difficult thing I had ever done. Even with our friends helping us throughout, like Anahita Events, Events by Marjan, Dj Mohsen, Dj Julius, Deejay Al, and Afrooz, we still ran into some problems with certain vendors. The good news for you is that our roadblocks and setbacks turns into learning experiences which we will share with future brides and grooms (coming soon to an ebook!). On the photo and video end, I had my own team capture our special day with 2 photographers, 2 cinematographers, and a drone operator, at the beautiful Twin Oaks Golf Course. But before we got there, I thought about challenging myself by taking my own engagement photos by connecting a Canon 6D via wifi to my phone. I'd say the results came out pretty phenomenal.

For our wedding, I trusted my own team, and you can view some photos below. The film is going to be released next month.

Sneak Peek:

In other technological advancements, we're still some of the only teams offering cinemagraphs to clients. Below you can view two videos illustrating our cinemagraphs. The first was from an Orange County Afghan engagement at Newport Beach.

The second is a compilation of recent weddings and engagements from around San Diego and Orange County, consisting of Windansea Beach, St. Regis Monarch, Omni La Costa Resort, and Marriott Marquis.

Finally, we have a brand new set-up that allows us to shoot 360 degree HD video, and stream it live! Watch a beta test run that we hope to implement in our March weddings. You do have to watch this on a supported browser, or on a new iPhone/android phone.

We already have a huge wedding season lined up and at new venues we're excited to shoot at, ranging from Persian to Indian weddings. Again, if you're getting married, be on the look out for my e-book which goes through the planning stages, who you absolutely need to book, who to avoid like the plague, and what new technologies you want to have!

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
